Planned Litters

We have a litter planned at the end of 2025. These will be registered Yorkshire Toftys, part of an outcross project designed to improve the health and genetic diversity in the breed, including reduced Dermatomyositis (DMS) risk. We have followed and supported the programme since the beginning and think it's important to take part for many reasons, for example, no purebred Rough Collie has zero DMS risk.

Our hopeful puppies should all go well, will be part Rough Collie, part Welsh Sheepdog, with both parents from top lines in Collies and registered working Welsh Sheepdogs. The dam will be our beautiful blue merle bitch 'Juliet'. Puppies could be available in all colours and all will be unaffected by CEA, DM, MDR1, IPD, and with DMS low risk.

Puppies will be weaned and reared according to our rearing plan which you can read more about on our site here.

Buying a Puppy

If now isn't the right time for a new puppy, or you are looking to find out if the breed is for you, it's the right time to first search for your chosen breeder, and join their waiting list.

25% of puppy buyers do less than two hours research before buying a puppy. Of those buyers, 70% then experience health complications in their puppy. Don't be one of these buyers!

As a responsible breeder we are happy to answer any of your questions.

The following resources can help you learn more about what you should look for in a Collie and how to find a breeder that does appropriate genetic testing and has a good knowledge of the breed.

Breed specific diseases

This is an information bank on diseases that affect the Collie. Most of the diseases in this list can be tested for which means breeders can produce Collies that are completely free of disease. Ask your chosen breeder if their dogs are affected by these diseases and ask for copies of their genetic testing certificates.

Choosing a breeder and puppy

There are some considerations you need to think about, before making the decision to bring a puppy home. Choosing a reputable breeder is the most important way to tackle the issue of puppy mills and also gives your Collie the best start in life - NEVER buy a puppy on impulse! Check out this guide we have written on making these decisions.
